What is a denture?

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth. A denture can replace an entire top or bottom set of teeth, or just a few teeth at a time. They are made of metal, porcelain, or softer materials such as acrylic.

Are dentures comfortable to wear?

Dentures are custom-made to ensure they fit perfectly and comfortably. A properly made, custom-fit denture sits seamlessly, and looks and feels like real teeth.

What does treatment involve?

First we take impressions of your teeth for our laboratory to create your custom-fit trays to allow us to take more accurate impressions to make you dentures a better fit. It normally takes around four to five visits to complete a denture. Once it has been fitted, you will be asked to return to the practice for another appointment for us to recheck the fit of the denture and make sure you are happy with the look and feel.

How do I look after my denture?

Here at Leyland Implants, we only use the best materials for long-lasting and natural results. To keep your new denture looking its absolute best, it’s important to stick to a good daily oral routine and to clean the denture as you would normal teeth.
