Am I suitable for veneers?

Veneers are not always the most ideal treatment for everyone and we may advise other treatments before you decide to have veneers. We will always go through treatment options clearly with you during an initial consultation so you have all the information you need to make an informed decision.

What are veneers made of?

Veneers are thin shells of ceramic that are bonded to the front of your teeth. Layers of the translucent, ceramic porcelain allow light to shine through, resulting in brighter, natural-looking teeth. When used on multiple teeth, veneers can dramatically re-model your entire smile and this has earned them the name ‘instant orthodontics’.

How long does treatment take?

Fitting veneers is carried out in two stages. First, the teeth are prepared to make room for the veneers and impressions taken to use as a template for your custom-made veneers. The second stage involves fitting the veneers onto your prepared teeth.

Will treatment hurt?

Having veneers fitted isn’t painful. We prepare the teeth under local anaesthetic to minimise any potential discomfort, and our friendly team of professionals is on hand to make sure you feel looked after and at ease at all times.

How do I look after my veneers?

To maximise the lifespan of your newly fitted veneers, here at Leyland Implants our highly trained team of hygienists will show you what you can do at home to keep your teeth looking their absolute best. Our hygiene sessions last for 20 minutes and we advise you visit us for regular appointments.
